Les Misérables de Ladj Ly décroche sa nomination dans la catégorie meilleur film international, aux côtés de Parasite. Avec 6 nominations, le chef d’oeuvre de Bong Joon-ho apparaît comme l’outsider parfait pour faire déjouer les pronostics.

Au niveau des grands absents, on retient Taron Egerton dans Rocketman et Adam Sandler dans Uncut Gems pour la catégorie meilleur acteur. Taika Waititi n’est pas dans la place avec Jojo Rabbit.
